Etiquette and Protocol
Yachting Etiquette

Yachting is rich in tradition and protocol. When it comes to yachting, it is crucial that children learn the proper etiquette. "Some may think that proper yachting etiquette is not as important as knowing how to operate the vessel, but manners are not only founded in showing consideration for others, they are a matter of safety."

Yachting etiquette incorporates observing colors, harbor and dockside protocol, the etiquette of guests when going aboard and the rules and regulations while yachting for leisure or on a racecourse. This course will give young boaters the confidence and grace to become experienced and knowledgeable in a classic sport that bases itself on tradition.
